NSW: O'Farrell says NSW Liberal Party has to change

Newly installed NSW Liberal leader BARRY O'FARRELL says the party failed to present
an electable alternative to Labor at the recent state election.

Mr O'FARRELL says despite Labor's obvious failings .. the Liberals have to offer more
to the people of NSW.

He was unanimously elected to the parliamentary Liberal leadership today .. after former
leader PETER DEBNAM announced on Monday he wouldn't continue in the job.

JILLIAN SKINNER was elected deputy leader .. and MIKE GALLACHER was re-elected to the
Liberal leadership in the upper house.
