NSW: Two face court over injured officer
Two men faced a northern New South Wales court today after a police officer was draggedalong by an allegedly stolen car in the Hunter Valley.
A 23-year-old man was charged overnight and a 22-year-old this morning.
The move follows Senior Constable DAVE DEAN from the Lower Hunter highway patrol beingdragged by the car while trying to speak to its driver.
A police spokeswoman says Senior Constable DEAN was one of three officers followingthe car shortly last night at Neath, north-west of Newcastle.
